Prophecies of Christ - All Songs

 "Exultate, Jubilate"
Scripture
Mosiah 3:3-5 (condensed) I am come to declare unto you glad tidings of great joy. For the Lord hath heard thy prayers, and hath sent me to declare unto thee that thou mayest rejoice; and that thou mayest declare unto thy people, that they may also be filled with joy. For behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power, the Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, who was, and is from all eternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay.

"Rejoice, resound with joy, Oh you blessed souls, singing sweet songs.
In response to your singing let the heavens sing forth with me."

"Lo How a Rose E're Blooming (Es ist ein Ros Entsprungen)"

Scriptures
Isaiah 7:14 - Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

1 Nephi 11:13-31 (condensed) And it came to pass that I looked and beheld the great city of Jerusalem, and also other cities. And I beheld the city of Nazareth; and in the city of Nazareth I beheld a virgin, most beautiful and fair above all other virgins. Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of the Son of God, after the manner of the flesh. And it came to pass that after she had been carried away in the Spirit I looked and beheld the virgin again, bearing a child in her arms. And the angel said unto me: Behold the Lamb of God, yea, even the Son of the Eternal Father!

Mosiah 3:8 And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary.

(Translation of verse 1)
A rose has sprung up,
from a tender root,
As the old ones sang to us,
Its strain came from Jesse
And it has brought forth a floweret
In the middle of the cold winter
Well at half the night.

(English version of verse 2)
Isaiah 'twas foretold it,
The Rose I have in mind,
With Mary we behold it,
The virgin mother kind;
To show God's love aright,
She bore to men a Savior,
When half spent was the night.

"Rejoice Greatly"

Scripture and Lyrics
Zechariah 9:9 - "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee."

"Il est né, le divin Enfant"

Scriptures
Jacob 4:4 For this intent have we written these things, that they may know that we knew of Christ, and we had a hope of his glory many hundred years before his coming; and not only we ourselves had a hope of his glory, but also all the holy prophets which were before us.

Helaman 14:2, 5-9 And behold, he said unto them: Behold, I give unto you a sign; for five years more cometh, and behold, then cometh the Son of God to redeem all those who shall believe on his name. And behold, there shall a new star arise, such an one as ye never have beheld; and this also shall be a sign unto you. And behold this is not all, there shall be many signs and wonders in heaven. And it shall come to pass that ye shall all be amazed, and wonder, insomuch that ye shall fall to the earth. And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall believe on the Son of God, the same shall have everlasting life. And behold, thus hath the Lord commanded me, by his angel, that I should come and tell this thing unto you; yea, he hath commanded that I should prophesy these things unto you; yea, he hath said unto me: Cry unto this people, repent and prepare the way of the Lord.

Nephi 25:26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

(Translation of verse 1 and refrain)
He is born, the divine infant, Play the oboes, ring out the bagpipes! He is born, the divine child, Let us all sing his coming! For more than four thousand years, the prophets promised him to us
For more than four thousand years we've awaited. this happy time.

(English version of verse 2 and refrain)
He is born the divine Christ child. Play on the oboe and bagpipes merrily. He is born the divine Christ child. Sing we all of the Savior's birth.
Oh how lovely, o how pure is the perfect child of heaven. Oh how lovely oh how pure. Gracious gift of God to all.

On Christmas Night" aka "The Sussex Carol"

Scriptures
Isaiah 9:2,6 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Lyrics:
On Christmas night all Christians sing to hear the news the angels bring; news of great joy, news of great mirth, news of our merciful King’s birth.

(I don't sing this verse, but I'm posting it since it goes along with the 2nd scripture quoted above)
Then why should we on earth be sad, since our Redeemer made us glad? when from our sin He set us free, all for to gain our liberty?

When sin departs before Thy grace, then life and health come in its place; angels and men with joy may sing, all for to see the newborn King.

All out of darkness we have light, which made the angels sing this night; “Glory to God and peace to men, now and forever more. Amen.”
